Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast condemned the deadly bomb blast in Quetta, Pakistan, stressing that the terrorist attack revealed the ugly face of the enemies of Islam.

Ahlul Bayt News Agency, Mehman-Parast restated that regrettable incident of terrorist operation against Muslims of Quetta which killed and injured a number of Muslims of the country shows the ugly face of enemies of Islam and mankind to the world people.

He added that planning and execution of such attacks against defenseless and oppressed people, who were just declaring their protest peacefully against the Zionist regime for Palestinian people on the Qods Day by extremist groups was a big mistake which indicated relations between these terrorist groups with arrogant powers and the Zionists and removed mask from the face of supporters of such groups.

He expressed Iranian government and nation condolences with Pakistani government and nation and asked blessing for martyrs of the blast, recovery for the injured and patience for victims' relatives.

A bomb explosion at a Shiite Muslim rally in Pakistan's southwestern region on Friday killed at least 53 people as violence continues to sweep the South-Asian country.

The attack targeted a rally in support of Palestinian struggle against Israel, marking the International Quds day in the city of Quetta.

Over 197 people have been reported injured in the fatal attack as well.

Around 3,000 people were participating in the rally when the blast occurred.
